Major potato processors in Europe are committed to sustainable practices and investments are being made in new techniques to benefit crops. One such example, presented as a case study during this week’s European Potato Processors’ Association (EUPPA) Conference in Brussels is that of Lamb Weston/Meijer.

PROFEL, the European Association of Fruit and Vegetable Processors, and Freshfel, the European Fresh Produce Association, will join forces, holding their first cross-sector conference on Tuesday the 20th of June 2017, at the Thon Hotel EU, Brussels.

The European Association for Potato Research (EARP) organizes in 2017 its 20th Triennial Conference, July 9-14, in Versailles, France, focusing on the main theme of the scientific program “Potato facing global challenges”.

Potato processors are getting ready for the EUPPA Conference 2017 (May 24), Brussels, Belgium. The event will detail topics such as “European Potato Processing: Our vital contribution to the European economy and future aspirations”, “Achieving productivity growth, sustainably and responsibly, through innovation: EUPPA members’ success stories” and “Panel discussion – lessons for future”.

This year’s edition of Process Expo will offer, for the first time, an interactive Innovations Showcase and Awards Program. Process Expo takes place September 19-22 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, USA.
