More than 2,000 companies vied for the top accolade which recognises innovation and excellence.

Taste consistency is key for Pommonde potatoes. They are grown by strictly selected growers affiliated by potato organisation, Nedato. Quality, taste and texture are all rigorously tested during the growing season with further testing taking place between harvest and supermarket delivery.

Only those which pass muster can be branded with the Pommande name.

It is this level of consistency which won the judges over at the Fruit Logistica Awards.
