Blight Outbreak In Russia PDF Print E-mail
Russia's agriculture watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has quarantined 160 hectares of farmland in Ulyanovsk district in southern Russia after finding outbreaks of golden potato nematode disease, writes Peter Muccini. The blight was originally detected in backyard farms and family allotments throughout in 14 areas. Checks are currently being carried out to determine the extent of the disease and the relevant measures will be applied until at least the end of August.
