Royal Avebe Extends Campaign To Absorb High Potato Yields

Dutch starch producer Royal Avebe has announced that it will extend the operational period of its processing facilities this season in response to exceptionally high potato yields in the Netherlands.
The cooperative said in December 2025 that favourable growing conditions and an early harvest had resulted in significantly higher volumes, prompting the decision to run its factories for approximately three weeks longer than usual.
Avebe confirmed that it would collect all registered potatoes from member growers during the extended campaign. The company did not disclose additional production volumes but described the 2025 harvest as unusually large.
Royal Avebe operates as a grower-owned cooperative, with delivery rights and obligations linked to member shareholdings.
