AVR Expands Planting and Harvesting Portfolio Ahead of PotatoEurope

Belgian potato machinery manufacturer AVR will present a series of new products and machine upgrades at PotatoEurope 2026, where the company will showcase developments across planting, harvesting and crop handling. The event takes place on 9-10 September in Springe, Germany.
One of the main launches will be a new power harrow combination for the AVR Ceres 440 planter. Developed in cooperation with Belgian manufacturer LSM, the new configuration combines LSM hydraulic tines, a Maschio DM3000 power harrow and the Ceres 440 four-row planter into a single-pass planting solution. The system allows operators to adjust cultivation depth independently of planting depth via the AVR joystick or display, providing greater flexibility in varying field conditions while maintaining accurate seed placement.
The new configuration expands AVR’s existing range of integrated planting solutions for the Ceres 440, complementing the MultiForce and Compact combinations already available. The company says prototype testing carried out during 2025 produced positive results, leading to a limited pre-production series this year.
AVR will also introduce a new presentation conveyor for its Falcon receiving hopper and showcase upgrades to the Spirit 9200i two-row offset bunker harvester. The updates further enhance the machine’s performance, building on recent improvements in ISOBUS functionality, traction, cleaning capacity and bunker management.
The company will also present a more powerful version of its Puma 4.0 self-propelled harvester and, for the first time, demonstrate the fifth generation of the AVR Puma working live in the field. The latest generation has been developed to meet the increasing demands of modern potato harvesting, with a focus on higher capacity, improved efficiency and reduced soil compaction under increasingly challenging field conditions.
The AVR Ceres 440 with the new power harrow combination, the Falcon equipped with the presentation conveyor and the fifth-generation Puma will all be displayed on the company’s stand and featured during the live machinery demonstrations at PotatoEurope 2026.
