Elea Targets Indian Chip and French Fry Processing with Kiron

Kiron Food Processing Technologies will present Elea Technology’s Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) solutions for potato chip and French fry production at Anuga FoodTec India, taking place from September 29 to October 1 in Mumbai.
Kiron is Elea’s regional partner in India and supplies food-processing technologies to manufacturers across the country. The company will represent Elea at the exhibition as part of its broader portfolio of processing equipment.
The companies will focus on the use of PEF in potato processing, with Elea positioning the technology as a means of improving efficiency, product quality and sustainability in chip and French fry production.
PEF treatment applies short electrical pulses to potatoes before subsequent processing stages, producing changes in the cellular structure of the raw material. The technology has become established in industrial potato applications, particularly ahead of cutting and frying.
The participation also gives Elea a route into India through a partner with an existing presence in potato processing. Kiron provides equipment and project engineering for applications including potato handling, French fry production, potato flakes and starch processing, alongside other food sectors.
Elea lists Kiron as its regional partner for India, where the company also operates a testing facility in Ahmedabad for product testing and validation.
Kiron will exhibit at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Hall 3, at booths G02, H02 and H16.
