McCain Foods India Names Aditya Krishna Managing Director

McCain Foods India has appointed Aditya Krishna as Managing Director, succeeding Mainak Dhar as the frozen potato products manufacturer makes a series of internal leadership changes.
Dhar, who previously led the India business, will move into an expanded leadership role within McCain Foods. Avishek Kar has meanwhile been elevated to Commercial Head of McCain Foods India, succeeding Krishna in the commercial leadership position.
Krishna will build on McCain’s relationships with potato growers in India and continue the company’s work to develop French fry potato varieties suited to local growing conditions. His responsibilities will also include strengthening McCain’s position in India’s food processing sector and its work with local communities.
“It is a privilege to lead McCain Foods India at this important stage of our journey. Over the years, McCain has built a deep legacy in the country—partnering with growers, pioneering the development of French Fries potato varieties suited to Indian conditions, contributing to the growth of the food processing industry, and supporting communities through initiatives such as Project Shakti and Project Utthaan,” Krishna said.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to build on this strong foundation, and equally excited about the road ahead as we continue to grow the category, strengthen the McCain brand, and create long-term value for our growers, customers, consumers, and communities.”
Krishna brings nearly two decades of sales and marketing experience across India and Southeast Asia from Mondelez International. Before his promotion, he served as Commercial Director at McCain Foods India for more than three years.
According to the company, during that period he helped accelerate the growth of its retail business, strengthen the McCain brand and drive consumer innovation.
Kar has held several positions within McCain’s India business and brings experience across the company’s commercial operations, market development and sales activities to his expanded role.
McCain said the two promotions form part of its approach to developing internal talent and moving employees into broader leadership positions.
