Green Giant Fresh® | Potandon Produce LLC has appointed Des Hague as its new Chief Executive Officer, placing an experienced consumer goods executive at the helm of one of North America’s largest suppliers of fresh potatoes, onions and value-added produce.

Hague succeeds David Lawrence, who will remain in an advisory role to support the leadership transition. The appointment comes as the company continues to pursue long-term growth through investments in its grower network, customer partnerships and product innovation.

For the potato sector, the leadership change is significant. Green Giant Fresh | Potandon is a major supplier of fresh potatoes to retail and foodservice customers across the United States and Canada, marketing products under brands including Green Giant Fresh®.

Hague has been a member of the company’s Board of Advisors since 2025, working with the leadership team on long-term strategy, brand development and marketing initiatives. As CEO, he will oversee efforts to strengthen relationships with potato growers, retail customers and foodservice partners while driving innovation across the business.

Hague brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience, having held senior roles at companies including 7-Eleven, PepsiCo Restaurants, Whitbread, Maytag, Safeway and Centerplate.
