Heat and Control will showcase the latest Urschel food cutting technologies at foodpro 2026, taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) in Melbourne, Australia, from July 26-29. Visitors to Booth R8 will be able to see the Little Gem Aspire Dicer and the MicroAdjustable SL-14 Slicing Head, both designed to improve cutting precision, production efficiency and operational flexibility.

The Little Gem Aspire Dicer is designed for processors requiring compact equipment without compromising cutting performance. The machine produces slices from 2 mm to 20 mm, dices up to 20 mm and strip cuts for continuous production. Developed by Urschel Innovation & Development, it incorporates the company’s patented StatiCut assembly, featuring specialty knives that allow processors to switch between cut sizes with minimal effort. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for facilities with limited floor space or lower production capacities.

Heat and Control will also present the MicroAdjustable SL-14 Slicing Head, which features 14 cutting stations—almost doubling the capacity of the company’s standard eight-shoe slicing head. The unit incorporates micro-adjustability and quick-clamping technology, allowing knife changes with little or no tools and without removing the slicing head from the machine. According to the company, the design is intended to maximise slice engagement while helping processors improve throughput and reduce operating costs.

Foodpro is one of Australia’s leading food manufacturing trade exhibitions, bringing together suppliers, processors and manufacturers from sectors including meat and poultry, seafood, dairy, fresh produce and packaged foods.

By exhibiting at the event, Heat and Control aims to introduce Australian food processors to Urschel’s latest cutting technologies, which are designed to increase throughput, minimise downtime and enable faster adaptation to changing production requirements.
