interpack Moves to June and Six-Day Format for 2029

The organizers of interpack have confirmed a new schedule for the next edition of the global processing and packaging exhibition, with the event set to take place from 10 to 15 June 2029.
The move shifts the trade fair to an early summer slot and introduces a revised six-day format running from Sunday to Friday. According to organizer Messe Düsseldorf, the changes are designed to improve efficiency for exhibitors and visitors while maintaining the event’s international reach.
The revised schedule follows consultations with exhibitors, the interpack Advisory Board and international industry associations. Organizers said the changes reflect industry demand for a more compact event focused on high-quality business contacts and more efficient use of time.
“interpack is the most important platform in its sector. Building on this position, we are consistently developing the event further. We listen carefully to what exhibitors and visitors need and are creating a format that will support their success at the trade fair even more effectively. This is the first visible sign of that. Further innovations will follow,” said Thomas Dohse, Director of interpack.
The early June timing is also intended to make greater use of the exhibition centre’s outdoor areas, which organizers say contribute to the event’s networking atmosphere alongside the product launches, business meetings and technical discussions taking place inside the exhibition halls.
Messe Düsseldorf said close collaboration with industry stakeholders and the ability to adapt the event to changing market requirements will remain central to interpack’s development in the years ahead.
