In-House Manufacturing Boost For Tummers As E2E Blancher Targets Energy Efficiency

Tummers Food Processing Solutions has completed the transition to full in-house production of cookers, coolers and blanchers, marking what the Dutch processing equipment specialist describes as a strategic milestone in its manufacturing development.
The company said the move strengthens its manufacturing independence while enabling tighter quality control and greater responsiveness to customer demand. By internalising production of these core thermal processing systems, Tummers aims to shorten delivery times and improve flexibility across project execution.
Over the past year, several blanching lines have been delivered to customers worldwide, with new units now being assembled on a near-daily basis at the company’s Hoogerheide facility.
The decision to consolidate production internally has also coincided with the introduction of a new system: the E2E (Emission to Energy) dual-zone blancher. According to Tummers, the equipment has been developed with a focus on energy efficiency, maintenance accessibility and consistent product performance.
The company describes the E2E dual-zone blancher as “a leap forward in innovation, designed for optimal energy efficiency, easy maintenance, and top-tier product performance.” It adds that the system reflects its ambition to support increasingly automated production environments, including what it terms a “lights off” factory concept in which intelligent systems and advanced process control play a central role.
Tummers said it is “proud to see our developments under ‘Step into the Future’ increasingly reflected in our expanding and forward-looking machinery portfolio,” signalling a broader strategic direction centred on automation and future-ready processing solutions.
The in-house production shift positions Tummers to exercise direct oversight across design, fabrication and assembly of its blanching and thermal processing technologies. In a market where processors are under sustained pressure to improve energy efficiency and operational reliability, such integration may offer advantages in lead time management and system customisation.
Further product developments are expected to be announced in the coming months, the company indicated.
