Kronen’s GS20 Cutting Machine for High Production Capacities Has Been Optimized

To achieve better hygiene, increased operational safety, and lower costs for clients when it comes to acquiring crucial spare parts, Kronen GmbH has introduced upgrades to its GS20 belt-cutting machine.
With a processing capacity of up to 4,000 kg per hour, the GS20 is a classic model in KRONEN’s machine line that handles fruit, vegetables, salad greens, and a wide range of other incredibly diversified food products.
Certain parts, including the down-holder belt and roller bearing support holder for the transport belt, need to be changed after a set period to guarantee that the cutting machine produces flawless cutting results over time. Thus far, this procedure has necessitated the complete replacement of the blocks. However, to achieve large cost savings, the Roller bearing support holds have been changed such that just the bearing axle support bars need to be replaced. These updates maintain backward compatibility. As such, older models can now take advantage of the current long-term savings with just one purchase of the new spare parts.
Kronen has enhanced the product discharge, modified the blade flange, and lowered the number of screw fastenings for the belt and knife box in the machine’s hygienic design. Additionally, it has improved the GS20’s swivel arm, an optional device that makes replacing cutting disks simpler and requires fewer screw fasteners by removing hollow areas. Additionally, a new carriage anchoring feature increases operational safety by avoiding accidental swivel arm nudging when the machine is relocated.
The superior processing quality and great performance of the GS20 ensure that items are sliced precisely and softly. Customers in the industrial food processing sector all around the world have been using it for a long time. The GS20 is an adaptable and dependable equipment that is ideal for a variety of tasks in the food sector. It is capable of cutting, pulling, shredding, and grating a wide range of materials.
“It is important that we always keep learning, developing, and making progress rather than simply settling for what we have already achieved. I think that is what truly defines our team at Kronen. For 40 years, our contact with the industry, the world of research, and groups of experts such as the EHEDG have helped us gain new insights in the areas of technology and hygienic design and implement this knowledge in our development activities. We aim to develop solutions that will benefit our customers, and the upgrades to the GS 20 are another prime example of how we achieve this,” Eric Lefebvre, Managing Director and Technical Director at Kronen, concluded.
