Food chain Taco Bell is serving new nacho fries in the US restaurants, as of January 25. The menu item will be available with Mexican seasoning and served with a dippable side of warm nacho cheese.

Nacho fries are a part of Taco Bell’s shared plans to introduce 20 USD1 items on menus nationwide and in test markets this year, on top of 20 mainstay menu items sold for just USD1.

The fries will also be available in supreme for USD2.49 or bell grande for USD3.49, topped with Taco Bell add-ons, including beef, Pico de Gallo, nacho cheese and sour cream. Bonus features will include a USD5 box with fries, a Doritos® Locos Taco, a Cheesy Gordita Crunch and Medium Drink.

A Taco Bell fries release has been rumored since tests with select audiences were held in West Virginia and Bakersfield, CA markets last spring. Even recent supporting roles in the testing of the California Burritos in Charleston, WV have added to the fan speculation.

Taco Bell has around 6,600 outlets in North America. Taco Bell Corp., a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, is the American leading Mexican-inspired quick service restaurant (QSR) brand. Taco Bell serves made-to-order and customizable tacos and burritos, among other choices, and is the first QSR restaurant to offer American Vegetarian Association (AVA)-certified menu items.
