Calbee and Walker Farms Unveil Organic Chip Line for U.S. Retailers

Calbee America Inc. has partnered with long-time grower Gold Dust & Walker Farms to debut Weston’s Family Farms Organic Potato Chips, a new line crafted from single-source, white-fleshed potatoes grown in Oregon and processed in California. The launch is the result of a 20-year collaboration between the snack manufacturer and the family-owned farming operation.
Manufactured at Calbee’s California facility, the chips are made from smooth potatoes sustainably planted and harvested by the Walker family since 1973. The new brand highlights traceability and clean-label appeal, offering USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, and gluten-free credentials.
The line features thin, wavy-cut slices aimed at delivering a “tender bite and an airy, crispy crunch.” Available in three varieties—Sea Salt, Sea Salt & Vinegar, and White Truffle—the chips are seasoned with simple, recognizable ingredients. Retailers nationwide can begin placing orders now, with distribution to shelves expected in September. The suggested retail price is $4.69 for a 5-ounce bag.
Positioned as a premium, farmer-inspired snack, Weston’s Family Farms Organic Potato Chips tap into growing consumer demand for origin-transparent, minimally processed products. According to the company, the vertically integrated supply chain allows year-round delivery of chips made exclusively from the Walker family’s own crop.
