Co-op Launches Halloumi Fries for GBP1
Co-op has introduced a new product in the form of halloumi fries/chips. The tube-shaped potatoes feature halloumi cheese flavor, but also come with a hint of chili, writes Metro.co.uk. The snack, which is already in-store, is also suitable for vegetarians.
It is sold in 100g bags for GBP1 and is currently a limited edition item, which will be around all summer-long. Co-op’s announcement comes after Aldi recently re-launched its extremely popular halloumi fries for GBP2.29.
The halloumi fries/chips aren’t the only novelty offered by Co-op, in terms of snacks. The food retailer is currently also selling lamb kofta and halloumi flatbread chips, which are priced at GBP1.70 for a 150g bag. What’s more, a vegetable tortilla chips option in spiced coconut and chargrilled pineapple is also available. All products are limited edition.
