PrimoHoagies Adds Potato Chips to Its Portfolio
South Philadelphia-based PrimoHoagies, a manufacturer of Italian specialty sandwiches, is branching out into chips. The company is gearing up to launch its own custom, Italian hoagie-flavored potato chips, has revealed the PhillyVoice.
The chips were soft launched in select locations on Super Bowl Sunday, but Primo will now make the snacks widely available on the East Coast in various supermarkets, drug stores and convenience stores.
According to a company’s spokesperson, the chips which took six months of research and culinary development, are now ready for primetime. Their flavor is a mix of Primo’s signature prosciutto, provolone cheese, hot capicola and natural casing genoa salami.
The company is selling the chips for USD2.99 for a 6-ounce bags. The chips are gluten-free and kosher.
