Pringles Introduces Potato-Based Pop Dog Buns in Three Signature Crisp Flavors

Pringles has unveiled a limited-edition line of potato-based hot dog buns infused with the flavors of its signature crisps, extending the brand beyond snacking into a seasonal food innovation tied to the North American barbecue season.
Called Pringles Pop Dog Buns, the product is available in three varieties inspired by established Pringles flavors: Sour Cream & Onion, BBQ and Honey Mustard. The buns are sized to fit inside the brand’s iconic cans and are being offered as part of a promotional campaign ahead of National Hot Dog Day in the United States.
The launch forms part of Pringles’ “Once You Pop, The Pop Don’t Stop” campaign, with consumers able to obtain the limited-edition buns free with the purchase of a Pringles three-pack containing the corresponding crisp flavors. The promotion is available while supplies last through OnceYouPopMarket.com and Pringles’ social commerce channels.
Mauricio Jenkins, Salty Snacks Brand & Content Lead at Mars Snacking North America, said: “This summer we’re bringing the ‘Once You Pop’ experience to the center of the plate! We wanted to take something everyone knows and completely flip it into an exciting new snackable experience.”
He added: “With our new ‘Once You Pop’ campaign, our mission is to continually deliver the unexpected to our fans, which is why we’re reimagining ordinary, bland buns and transforming them into an extraordinarily flavorful experience fit for our iconic cans. Trust me, that extra Pringles flavor truly makes these buns pop because… Once You Pop, The Pop Dogs Don’t Stop.”
According to Mars, the potato-based buns are designed to deliver flavor throughout the eating experience and can be paired with matching Pringles crisps or topped with the crisps themselves for added texture.
The product is available in two limited drops, timed around the U.S. summer grilling season and National Hot Dog Day.
The launch illustrates how major potato snack brands continue to explore adjacent food categories through limited-edition concepts that leverage established flavor profiles and brand recognition rather than introducing permanent product extensions.
