Americans Favor French Fries Delivered During Lockdown

With millions of Americans under stay-at-home orders, food delivery has been a welcome lifeline for many, and the only way some restaurants can stay in business. The food delivery service Uber Eats has revealed its list of the most popular dishes Americans in different states ordered while at home in March 2020. While Americans can’t dine at their favorite restaurants during the coronavirus pandemic, their order preferences reveal a craving for indulgence and comfort food.
Uber Eats data shows their orders went up 30% since mid-March, about when the pandemic was declared a national emergency. The company statement lists the most popular food delivery items in every U.S. state. Poke bowls, crab rangoons and garlic naans are among the most exotic foods that are popular in certain states, while the comfort food of French fries has been nominated as the most popular item to be delivered nationwide.
