Fruit Logistica Continues to Draw Record-high Turnout

With more than 2,600 exhibitors from more than 90 countries and every stage of the fresh produce value chain, the premier trade fair for the worldwide fruit and vegetable industry returned to Berlin from February 5–7, 2025.
This year’s edition of Fruit Logistica welcomed international trade visitors as it formally launched. Reaffirming its status as the year’s most important gathering place for the worldwide fruit and vegetable industry was the aim of the event. The theme for this year, ‘Fruitful Connections,’ emphasized the event’s emphasis on developing deep industrial ties and cooperation.
Italy Leads the Charge with a Strong Exhibition Presence
Held across 26 exhibition halls, this year’s event has attracted large numbers of exhibitors from Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Germany, and France. Italy, in fact, with more than 400 exhibitors, has effectively formed a dedicated trade show of its own within the walls of Messe Berlin.
Key Markets Expand at Fruit Logistica 2025
With record-breaking participation from China, Turkey, and Egypt, as well as substantial gains from Spain and Peru, this year’s Fruit Logistica showcased the amazing recent expansion in a number of fresh fruit markets. Israel, which has a significant presence in machinery and technology, has increased by an astounding 20%, China’s has increased by one-third, and Turkey’s has increased by 12%.
A wide variety of foreign delegations attended Fruit Logistica 2025. For instance, after their Latin America Conference the day before the event, representatives from several Central and South American nations were greeted on the first day of the trade show. Several fruitful meetings organized by the exhibition organizers were also attended and participated in by a delegation from the Guangzhou Jiangnan wholesale market, a significant partner of Asia Fruit Logistica.
Knowledge Sharing at Its Best: Expert Speakers and Sessions
As the fruit and vegetable industry navigates a complex landscape shaped by climate change, geopolitical tensions, rising production costs, and shifting consumer preferences, Fruit Logistica 2025 serves as an essential platform for knowledge sharing.
The show featured an unrivaled event program, with more than a hundred speakers sharing thousands of fresh ideas across the show’s five stages. Nowhere else in the world could trade visitors find such an extensive program of sessions focused on trends and innovation in fresh produce. The Fresh Produce Forum explored key industry challenges such as supply chain resilience, sustainability, and regulatory changes, while the Future Lab presented cutting-edge solutions for securing yields despite extreme weather conditions. Meanwhile, the Tech Stage, Logistics Hub, and Farming Forward forums covered a broad spectrum of industry-relevant topics, such as sustainable packaging, efficient cold chain logistics, and advancements in climate-resilient agriculture, among many others.
Exciting New Technologies on Display at Startup World
This year, for the first time, the hugely popular Startup World was active for all three days of the event, which gave even more attention to some exciting and groundbreaking technologies. Trade visitors saw pioneering technologies across agtech, digital farming, crop science, and post-harvest solutions. It was a great opportunity to explore how these advancements can help make production more efficient and sustainable. The global startups showcased innovative solutions that leveraged digitization, artificial intelligence, and modern sensor technology. In the Startup World in Hall 3.1, Fruit Logistica provided young companies with the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, potential partners, and international visitors to foster valuable business relationships.
Exclusive Resources: Trend Report and European Statistics Handbook
Trade visitors took advantage of two exclusive resources. The Trend Report 2025 highlighted emerging trade flows and supply trends that will transform the international fresh produce market. The European Statistics Handbook 2025 provided a handy collection of valuable information on the continent’s major markets and producers, as well as on the main commodity flows for fruit and vegetables that support the import-export business. Both resources provided valuable insights to help industry professionals navigate shifting market dynamics and identify future opportunities.
Fruitful Friday: Networking, Science, and Fun Activities
Fruit Logistica’s Fruitful Friday on 7 February provided visitors with a whole day dedicated to in-depth networking and scientific presentations, plus some more light-hearted activities like a mascot race by Messe Berlin’s South Entrance. The day also included a must-attend presentation ceremony for the annual Fruit Logistica Innovation Awards.
