Flikweert Vision Brings Industrial Optical Sorting Technology To Farms With Divider Select

Flikweert Vision has launched Divider Select, a new optical sorting solution developed specifically for potato and onion growers, during Fruit Logistica. The machine is designed to give growers greater control over product flow during inloading and outloading, while supporting improved product quality during storage.
According to the company, labour availability during harvest and storage remains a growing challenge for growers, particularly at moments when both speed and careful handling are required. As a result, potatoes and onions containing excess soil, clods or defects may enter storage, with negative effects on quality consistency and available storage capacity.
Flikweert Vision develops optical sorting machines specifically for potatoes and onions and reports that more than 500 machines are currently in operation worldwide across 22 countries. Within sorting lines, its Divider solutions are positioned at the start of the process, where early removal of tare and extreme defects helps protect downstream equipment and product quality.
The original Divider platform was developed for industrial processing environments and is now positioned as the Divider Pro. This version is industrially built and uses AI-supported detection to remove clods, stones and extreme product defects at an early stage, reducing the risk of damage and process disruptions later in the line.
In response to increasing interest from agricultural users, Flikweert Vision has adapted this industrial foundation for on-farm use. The newly introduced Divider Select is technically based on the Divider Pro, but its configuration and positioning are intended to better match grower requirements. The company describes the machine as purpose-driven and suitable for integration into inloading and outloading lines on farms.
By tailoring industrial technology to agricultural practice, Divider Select is intended to help growers inload and outload cleaner product, resulting in improved control over product flow, more consistent quality and reduced storage risk.
Martijn Flikweert, Co-owner and CEO at Flikweert Vision, said:
“The Divider Pro has been very well received in industrial environments. With Divider Select, we bring that same industrial quality to the farm. A compact, plug-and-play machine that allows growers to remove clods and extreme defects from potatoes and onions already during inloading. Thanks to its favourable pricing, this technology is now also accessible to growers, without compromising on reliability or product-friendliness.”
