Indian company adds chip line to its belt
An Indian frozen food company has decided to add a French fry line with capacity to process 25,000 tons per annum at its multi product complex coming up in Gujarat.
Himalya International Ltd is shipping the complete line from the U.S, which will be operative by the new potato season starting in February next year.
Himalya has also appointed Rick Starret, an expert from the US potato industry, to implement and then head this unit.
Himalya shall be processing A grade French fries, wedges, coated fries and also tornado potatoes for the first time in India.
