Idaho Gov. Butch Otter appointed Brett Jensen and Todd Cornelison to the Idaho Potato Commission, effective at the nine-member panel’s October 24 meeting.

 

Bill Watts has joined AHDB as arable knowledge exchange manager (potatoes) for the West Midlands, South West and Wales.

 

Canadian equipment producer FPS has set up a new Parts & Service Center in Cartersville, Georgia, the USA. The new location will be its first office in the United States and is led by the technical Services Manager Mark Bellow and by the Business Development Manager Jay Loy.

 

PepsiCo’s brand Walkers is set to launch UK’s first nationwide recycling scheme for crisp packets. People will be encouraged to either drop off their packets at one of the hundreds of public access collection points that will be developed all around the country or alternatively post them for free directly to TerraCycle for recycling. 

 

The potato is Britain’s favorite vegetable, according to a new poll commissioned by Dolmio Veggie Goodness.
