Cape Cod Potato Chips Re-Launches Factory Tour

Cape Cod has announced the re-opening of its Hyannis Factory Tour in Cape Cod. For more than 40 years, the company has been welcoming interested parties at its production plant for behind-the-scenes opportunities.
The free self-guided tour invites guests to experience firsthand how Cape Cod potato chips are produced one batch at a time in custom kettles, now with added enhancements such as an expanded space to accommodate more visitors. On average, the factory is said to produce nearly 30,000 lbs. of potato chips a day, 600,000 lbs. a month and 7,200,000 lbs. a year.
“Since opening in 1980, the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory in Hyannis has been a mainstay on the Cape. Today, we are happy to introduce enhancements to the factory tour that will continue to offer visitors the chance to see just how their favorite potato chips are made from beginning to end,” said Leslie Waller, vice president of marketing at Cape Cod.
The firm recently released Cape Cod Summer Potato Chips featuring cracked pepper and a hint of lemon which can be paired with Sam Adams New England IPA as part of a seasonal partnership.
