Croatia’s Intersnack Adria to Invest €25 Million in New Chips Factory

Intersnack Adria, the Croatian subsidiary of Germany’s Intersnack Group, has begun construction of a new potato chips factory in Hercegovac, central Croatia. The company said in a LinkedIn post that the foundation stone has been laid, marking “the beginning of an exciting new chapter and a strong commitment to growth, innovation and our community.”
According to SeeNews, the investment is valued at €25 million and is intended for the enlargement and upgrade of the company’s manufacturing facilities. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
SeeNews reported that once operational, the factory will double annual production capacity to 10,000 tonnes and generate between 50 and 100 new jobs.
Intersnack Adria operates a plant in Hercegovac that has been in production since 1977, and is described in local reporting as the largest employer in the area. The company is considered the leading producer of salty snacks in Croatia and a significant industrial buyer of potatoes on the domestic market.
