The Emlichheim Location Will Double Emsland Group’s Manufacturing Capacity
The Emsland Group discusses their aim to develop potato flake manufacturing in Emlichheim. The firm intends to make total investments in the mid-double-digit million range.
Since 2000, the Emsland Group has been making potato flakes with success. The corporation is a major player in the food industry, currently leading the dehydrated potato market. To fulfill the growing need for premium potato flakes all year round and hold onto market share, the Emlichheim location will double manufacturing capacity.
“With the highest focus being on sustainable production methods, the additional production line will include new roller dryers and new facilities for potato washing, peeling, grinding, and bagging. The investment will more than double the potato flake production in Emlichheim, enabling the Emsland Group and its customers in food segments – such as snacks and potato products – to grow together in not only quantity but also in quality,” according to a recent press release.
The project kick-off took place at the beginning of January 2024. Commissioning of the production line is planned for the start of the 2027 potato campaign.
