Tomra Food Boosts Its Footprint in Australia and New Zealand
To offer its clients comprehensive food sorting, grading, and processing solutions, Tomra Food combined its Fresh and Processed divisions. To improve its customer-centric strategy, Tomra Food has created a regional business model that comprises three regions: the Americas (AMS), Asia Pacific (APAC), Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
The Tomra Food APAC team, led by Paul Slupecki, wants to increase its local presence in Australia, New Zealand, India, Southeast Asia, and Japan.
“Having a stronger local presence, Tomra Food’s APAC regional model means we’ll be closer to our customers, which allows us to develop a deeper understanding of their individual needs and provide faster, more personalized services, and tailor-made solutions,” Paul Slupecki, Head of Tomra Food APAC, mentioned.
With more than 200 employees spread across three major hubs—Auckland, Papamoa, and Melbourne—as well as remote teams stationed near clients in both Australia and New Zealand, Tomra Food APAC is poised to increase its footprint in these two regions. Customer satisfaction will increase as a result of the Tomra Food APAC team’s ability to better comprehend and meet the unique needs and dynamics of their local clientele.
The Tomra Food APAC team will be laser-focused on delivering customer care, support, sales, and development for the APAC area. They will also keep a specialized Research and Development department to guarantee continued local support for customers with locations in Australia and New Zealand.
The Tomra Food APAC team is thrilled to be back at Melbourne, Australia’s Hort Connections. The team’s food sorting, grading, and processing solutions—which include the newest developments in Deep Learning technology, such as Spectrim with LUCAi for apple grading and InVision with LUCAi for cherry grading—will be on display at the Tomra Food booth. In the Tech & Innovation panel discussion, Sebastian Stoof, VP Head of Customer Value at Tomra Food, will speak about the advancements in artificial intelligence technologies as they relate to food sorting. During the Job Insights event, Jamie Jones, Senior Talent Acquisition Manager at TOMRA Food, will also provide information on job prospects to final-year graduates from throughout Australia.
