Haith to Unveil Drying and Box Tippling Innovations at the 2023 British Potato Show

The Queen’s Award-winning Rota-Tip and the brand-new potato drier from Haith Group will be unveiled at the British Potato Show in November 2023.
The Haith ProDry utilizes a cutting-edge fan and belt system to accelerate the drying time of potatoes, and visitors to the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate will be the first to learn about it. Haith’s revolutionary technique not only works faster than traditional sponge dryers, but it also gets rid of any potential bacterial buildup that might happen with previous drying systems.
With the addition of in-feed and out-feed box stacking and de-stacking features, Haith’s 2024 version of their industry-leading Rota-Tip box tippler has been improved. This has sped up box emptying and significantly decreased forklift movements.
“We are looking forward to the British Potato Event. We always have a great time in Harrogate meeting people from across the potato industry and giving them a warm Yorkshire welcome to our stand. I think we will be busier than ever at this year’s show. Our new potato dryer and the 2024 version of the Rota-tip have been developed in response to customer feedback and so should attract a great deal of interest from people looking for the latest innovations in potato handling,” Rob Highfield, Haith Sales Manager, said.
ProDry by Haith will enhance the selection of sponge roller dryers. The creative technique involves transporting wet, washed potatoes through a tunnel of fans that dries every inch of each tuber.
Even under difficult circumstances, Haith’s Rota-Tip PRO efficiently and dependably empties potato boxes. Because the tippler rotates around a pivot in the middle, no pressure is applied to the machine, and the weight of the box is never raised, thus there is no wear and tear on either the machine or the box.
Haith only utilizes high-efficiency motors, which only run during the tipping sequence, therefore the Rota-Tip offers outstanding power consumption. The absence of hydraulics also eliminates the possibility of oil contamination.
Multiple full stacks of boxes can be loaded into the machine using the additional box handling functionality, and those boxes will be automatically de-stacked and transferred to the tipping module. The boxes are then restacked after being empty so that the operator can remove them from the line. The cutting-edge method vastly increases productivity and lowers the number of damaged boxes.
