Potato Days Russia 2020 to be Hosted in 2021

Potato System reports that DLG postponed the International Potato Field Day “Potato Days Russia 2020”, which was to be held between July 30 – 31 in New Kaplino in the Bryansk Region. This decision followed the recommendations the organizers received during an online consultation meeting with industry representatives.
The organizers say it is their mission to organize a high-class exhibition with added value for the industry and for the benefit of all participants. They underline that this is an important event for the potato industry of the Russian Federation. But in this unprecedented situation, related to the spread of COVID-19, the health and safety of visitors and exhibitors are top priority.
“COVID-19 continues to undermine business around the world, and participation in the exhibition is currently not a priority for international and Russian manufacturers and suppliers of potato solutions,” says the press release.
Taking into account the current situation and relying on the opinion of representatives of the industry community, a decision was made to launch the Potato Days Russia project in 2021 with stronger and more confidence in the success of its implementation for all interested groups as a first priority.
Thus, “Potato Days Russia” is now scheduled to take place between July 29-30, 2021 in the ‘potato capital’ of Russia – the Bryansk region.
