Witnessing TNA’s Fully Integrated Potato Chip Line at Woerden Manufacturing Facility

TNA Solutions recently introduced European customers to its complete snack processing technology when they visited its manufacturing facilities for the first time.
From September 23 to 26, 2024, Woerden hosted a TNA Open House for regional clients. Visitors learned about TNA’s comprehensive portfolio of solutions, the cutting-edge TNA Food Technology Centre, and how the company collaborates with food manufacturers to remain ahead of ever-changing market needs and supply chain difficulties.
Attendees from 12 different nations had the rare chance to see TNA’s fully integrated potato chip line, which included a live demonstration of the packaging, distribution, and seasoning systems. The statement emphasizes TNA’s wide variety of solutions and its distinct advantage as the only worldwide single-source solutions partner for the whole potato snack production line. Additionally, guests had the opportunity to learn about on-site partnerships with the TNA Food Technology Center, which allowed them to test new products, keep ahead of industry trends, and more.
“Snack producers continually need to meet the growing and changing demands of customers to remain competitive. For example, a recent UK survey found that customers were turning to healthier snack options, with 2023 spending increasing 39% on the previous year. Snack manufacturers that adapt faster are better positioned to provide customers with the products they want, ahead of their competitors. Ultimately, consumers seek healthier, affordable, and novel snacks that still boast a captivating taste profile. The chip market is a prime example of this – Europe accounts for the second largest market for non-potato veggie chips, due to consumers seeking healthier options. These expectations are driving snack manufacturers to seek out solutions that offer flexibility in production, high output volumes, and a lower total cost of ownership. By opening the doors to the TNA Innovation Center, we’re helping the industry to observe what is possible and the technology that can support them in staying ahead of demand,” Eric Geling, Chief Sales Officer, of TNA Solutions, mentioned.
To fulfill its goal of being a full-service partner for food manufacturers, TNA purchased Florigo International B.V., a Woerden, Netherlands-based food processing specialist, in 2015. Now known as the TNA Innovation Center, this facility offers innovative food processing solutions to meet the demands of worldwide businesses. It boasts new technologies, more product applications, and a network of global experts.
