World Potato and Europatat Congresses Postponed to 2022

The organizers of the two events recently announced their decision to postpone the World Potato (WPC) and Europatat Congresses planned for May 31 – June 3, 2021, in Dublin, citing concerns over the safety of participants due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
World Potato Congress Inc., Europatat and the Irish Potato Federation revealed WPC would now take place on May 30 – June 2, 2022. As previously planned, the WPC will be preceded by the Europatat Congress, which will take place from May 29 to May 30, 2022.
“It was felt the early decision to postpone was the correct and responsible one to take and is in the best interests of the global potato community. It is already very clear that there is a huge appetite for full, live, in person World Potato and Europatat Congresses, and early indications are that the 2021 events partners, sponsors and speakers are solidly committed to remaining on board until 2022,” the organizers said in a press release.
