Idahoan Mashed Potatoes Named Side Dish of the Year

Idahoan Foods has recently revealed that its Idahoan Family Size Mashed Potatoes has received the Product of the Year award in the Side Dish Category.
Product of the Year, one of the world’s largest consumer-voted awards, offers a series of distinctions for product innovation. Winners in each category – 36 in total – are selected by shoppers through a national online survey conducted by research firm, Kantar.
“Backed by the votes of over 40,000 everyday consumers, the distinctive Product of the Year logo helps shoppers identify the best new products in the supermarket and saves them valuable time and money during the shopping experience. In an increasingly competitive and saturate marketplace, the Product of the Year seal of approval gives our winning products a powerful tool proven to increase product trial, consumer awareness, distribution and sales,” said Mike Nolan, CEO of Product of the Year.
The awards have been offered in the US for 11 years and globally for 30 years. According to the organizers the program operates in over 40 countries with the same purpose: to guide customers towards the best products on the market.
“Coming on the heels of IRS sales data from 2018 that helped Idahoan earn the title of America’s Favorite Mashed Potatoes, we’re proud to receive such a meaningful recognition from Product of the Year,” said Ryan Ellis, vice president of retail marketing.
Idahoan Mashed Potatoes are made of 100% real of Idaho potatoes and are available in a variety of sizes and flavors including Classic, Buttery Homestyle and Cheddar & Sour Cream.
