Lay’s Welcomes New Limited Edition Flavor

Lay’s is constantly updating its product portfolio and this month the snack brand unveiled a new flavor – Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, reports Delish.
The latest Lay’s proposition will be made available only for a limited time, following flavors like Fried Green Tomatoes and Crispy Taco. The new option will hit retail shelves for USD3.49 in 7.75 oz. bags across the United States starting October 21.
The new launch date will coincide with the beginning of a Lay’s contest to celebrate its new packaging. The packaging and logo will be given a makeover, which will result in Lay’s first new look in 12 years.
According to a previous report, the new logo will be made smaller and centralized with radiating rings.
The font will be a slightly different tool, with a cursive “y”’ and a somewhat smaller “L”. But the biggest change to Lay’s potato chips bags will the photography shown on the package. The view of the chips will be now showed from a “top-down” angle – a homage to the rise of food photographers on social media, explained by a company representative.
