Reggae Reggae crisp launch
Caribbean food entrepreneur Levi Roots is expanding his range in the UK and launching new Reggae Reggae crisps to excite the £1.9bn crisps and snack category.
Produced by Devon-based Burts Chips, the 150g sharing bags will be available in Tesco stores nationwide from June 2011. The two exciting variants include Reggae Reggae Groove Cut crisps and Levi’s Caribbean Chilli Beef Groove Cut crisps, at a suggested retail price of £1.79.
The new offerings are set to tap into the growing consumer demand for adventurous flavours, ‘sharing’ snacks and the success of the Levi Roots brand since his appearance on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den in 2007.
Melvin Glynn, managing director of Burts Chips, said: “The new crisps cater for consumers looking to discover new products and flavours and represent everything that people love about Reggae Reggae – spice, sharing, and socialising.”
Hand cooked, the new snacks combine Caribbean herbs and spices, to create a unique offering unlike anything else on the market.
Launching in time for the key summer barbecue season, the launch follows the success of the Levi Roots sauces in Tesco.
