Pringles Unveils Six New Flavours For September, Including Its First Sweet Variant Since 2016

Pringles will introduce six new flavours across U.S. retailers in September, expanding its core crisps range and the newer puffed Mingles line. The launch comprises a three-flavour “Pringles Smoky” collection—Smoky Bacon, Smoky Mesquite BBQ and Smoky Cheddar—plus Pringles Sharp White Cheddar crisps, and two Pringles Mingles variants: Cinnamon & Sugar and Jalapeño & Queso.
The company describes Smoky Bacon as delivering “notes of hickory smoke and pork flavours,” Smoky Mesquite BBQ as combining “barbeque sweetness with tangy notes,” and Smoky Cheddar as blending “a mild sweet applewood smokiness” with creamy cheddar. Sharp White Cheddar is positioned as fusing “rich and slightly nutty flavours with a touch of acidity.” All six will begin appearing nationwide in September.
The Mingles additions include Cinnamon & Sugar—billed as the brand’s first sweet flavour since 2016 and set to feature limited-edition holiday packaging—and Jalapeño & Queso, which balances a creamy queso profile with fresh jalapeño heat.
“At Pringles, we’re constantly thinking of new ways to satisfy our fans’ cravings, and bringing this suite of sweet, smoky, savory flavor to shelves is an exciting expansion of the unique snacking experiences Pringles offers,” said Mauricio Jenkins, US Head of Marketing for Pringles. “With the addition of the Smoky collection to our offerings, launching Sharp White Cheddar and creating even more poppable Pringles Mingles flavors to share, we hope our fans find an exciting new snack to enjoy for any occasion.”
To spotlight the Smoky range, Pringles is partnering with Chef Calvin Eng of Bonnie’s in Brooklyn. A limited-time dish—Pringles Smoky Mesquite BBQ Bok Gop (crispy whole squab marinated with Smoky Mesquite BBQ crisps and five-spice salt, garnished with the new crisps)—will be served in September, beginning Tuesday, 2 September, offering New York consumers an early taste of the Smoky Mesquite BBQ flavour ahead of shelf arrival.
Pringles is owned by Kellanova (NYSE: K), whose portfolio includes Cheez-It, Pop-Tarts, RXBAR, Eggo, MorningStar Farms, Special K and Coco Pops, among others. Kellanova reported approximately $13 billion in net sales in 2024.
