Urschel Highlights KRONEN Partnership And SL-14 Slicing Technology At SNX 2026

Urschel will present its latest processing technologies for snack manufacturers at SNX 2026, including developments linked to its partnership with German equipment supplier KRONEN and a slicing solution designed for potato chip production.
The company will exhibit at Booth 45 in the Experience Zone during the SNX event, scheduled to take place from March 29 to 31 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. According to Urschel, the showcase will highlight how the collaboration with KRONEN and new slicing technology can support processors in optimizing production lines.
Partnership Expands Processing Capabilities
Urschel formed a partnership with Germany-based KRONEN in July 2025. Through this collaboration, Urschel now offers selected KRONEN equipment—including peelers, washers, dryers and conveyors—in several international markets.
The partnership has enabled Urschel to broaden its product portfolio by incorporating KRONEN’s processing technologies. According to the company, the expansion allows it to address a wider range of processing requirements while supporting food processors with integrated cutting and preparation solutions.
Focus On Potato Chip Slicing Technology
Also featured at the SNX exhibition will be the Urschel MicroAdjustable SL-14 slicing head, designed for high-capacity slicing applications in snack processing.
The SL-14 incorporates 14 cutting stations, which the company says can deliver nearly double the capacity of its standard eight-shoe slicing head. The flat slice cutting head also includes micro-adjustability and quick-clamping technology intended to speed up knife changeovers while minimizing the need for tools and avoiding removal of the slicing head from the machine.
Urschel notes that the spacing of the cutting stations has been designed to maximize slice engagement. The company states that processors can use the SL-14 to optimize potato chip production lines while reducing operational costs over time.
Industry Networking At SNX
SNX is a snack industry event bringing together manufacturers, suppliers and industry professionals for networking and technical discussions. Held at the Hyatt Regency Dallas, the event includes one-on-one meetings and presentations focused on processing technologies and market developments within the snack sector.
At the event, Urschel plans to highlight how the collaboration with KRONEN expands its offering of processing equipment while supporting food manufacturers seeking integrated solutions across multiple stages of production.
