FPS Food Process Solutions has announced a strategic partnership with Quality Engineered Solutions aimed at strengthening its expertise in utilities infrastructure for food processing plants.

The Vancouver-based company, known for supplying turnkey freezing and cooling systems to the global food industry, said the collaboration will expand its engineering capabilities with a stronger focus on utilities-driven services.

Quality Engineered Solutions brings more than 25 years of experience in industrial ventilation projects for food and beverage processing facilities as well as other manufacturing environments. According to FPS, the company’s expertise in ventilation infrastructure and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design will support the delivery of more integrated solutions for complex processing plants.

As part of the partnership, Rick Allen has joined FPS as Director of Global Utilities. In this newly created role, he will focus on strengthening the technical foundation of utilities processes while supporting the company’s global engineering activities.

For food processors, utilities systems such as ventilation, airflow management and building infrastructure play a critical role in maintaining stable operating conditions in high-throughput production environments. Facilities producing frozen foods, including potato products, rely on carefully designed ventilation systems to manage temperature control, moisture levels and air quality across processing, freezing and packaging areas.

By integrating specialized utilities engineering expertise into its portfolio, FPS aims to strengthen its ability to deliver complete processing environments as demand grows for fully integrated plant solutions across the global food industry.
