A New EUR10m Manufacturing Facility for Keogh’s Crisps

In order to accommodate the company’s continued growth, Tom Keogh, founder & Managing Director of Keogh’s Crisps, declared that a new manufacturing facility worth EUR10m will be built by the company the following year.
Also, Keogh’s Crisps plan to use 18m potatoes in 2023, all thanks to the growing demand for their snacks.
Following a 30% increase in profits the previous year, he stated that the anticipated revenue growth for this year is expected to be a staggering 20%. The US export market was the top performer last year, nearly doubling revenues, but the higher transport costs had a significant negative impact on profitability, according to Breakingnews.ie.
Even after this, the company’s total exports now make up 25% of its revenue, and they hold a 12% market share in Ireland. Keogh’s popcorn line is also well-liked; sales increased by 47% last year, and they are expected to continue rising through March 2023.
Keogh’s Crisps has experienced a tremendous recovery in sales since the COVID-19 lockdowns, particularly in their small or impulse crisp bag, which has increased by 50% in 2022. About 65% of the business’s total earnings come from crisp share-bag sales.
Since there hasn’t been a suggested price increase in the last six years, the managing director of Keogh’s Crisps is currently reviewing the recommended retail price of their products due to inflationary costs. According to the new accounts, the business had accrued profits of EUR1.46m at the end of March, and its cash balance rose from EUR849,772 to EUR1.06m.
