Mister Bee Potato Chips Invests in New Warehouse

West Virginia-based Mister Bee Potato Chips has announced plans to construct a half-million-dollar warehouse next to its facility in Parkersburg, writes The Marietta Times.
The new warehouse will be take up 10,000 sqft. and is expected to open its doors in time for Christmas.
According to the report, Mister Bee is seeing and anticipating growth thanks to USD2m investment in new equipment at the business. The machinery makes it possible to fill about ninety 1-to-2-ounce bags per minute up from the previous rate of just 25. The new equipment has reportedly brought down costs with 40%.
The company is co-packaging – making chips for other companies – for five businesses, including a company from California which has Mister Bee make cheese-flavored chips to pair with wine.
The firm is also pursuing partnerships with other companies and looking to put Mister Bee chips in new places like for example colleges and universities.
Mister Bee’s own snack portfolio includes potato chips with Honey Barbeque, Dip Style, Cheddar Sour Cream or BBQ Kettle Chips, as well as Potato Stix, Popcorn and Cheese Puffs.
