Montech Expands Conveyor Portfolio With Fully Configurable Roller Systems

Montech AG has expanded its conveyor portfolio with the launch of the RB4020 and RB5025 gravity roller conveyor systems, positioning the new platforms as highly configurable solutions for industrial environments that require flexibility, precision, and short project lead times.
The new roller conveyors are designed to be tailored closely to individual products, processes, and plant layouts. According to the company, the systems are intended to cover a broad spectrum of conveying tasks, from light, small-format goods to heavy and bulky items, while maintaining planning reliability in both new installations and retrofits.
Two Platforms, One Modular Architecture
The RB4020 and RB5025 systems differ primarily in roller diameter and load focus. The RB4020 is equipped with 20 mm support rollers and is aimed at smaller and lighter products. The RB5025, using 50 mm support rollers, is designed for larger and heavier loads. Both systems are available in single-, double-, and multi-track configurations, as well as in tandem versions, allowing multiple transport lanes within a single conveyor frame.
A central feature of the new range is its modular architecture. Conveyor width, roller pitch, and track length can be defined individually, and different roller conveyor sizes and designs can be combined within the same line. This approach allows system designers to create consistent, end-to-end conveying solutions without being restricted to a single conveyor format.
Side guides are offered in multiple variants, while the supporting structure is based on Montech’s MPS aluminum framing system. All components are designed for compatibility, enabling seamless integration across conveyor sections and supporting a standardized approach to system design.
Designed For Integration And Expansion
Montech positions the new roller conveyors as suitable for integration into existing production and logistics environments, as well as for modular expansion over time. Target applications include logistics and distribution centers, packaging and assembly operations, plastics and automotive manufacturing, picking and shipping areas, and airport environments such as security screening and baggage handling.
The company highlights the suitability of the systems for both standardized flows and high-mix, variable processes. The freely configurable dimensions are intended to support complex material flows involving different product formats, changing process steps, and high throughput requirements, in addition to simple linear transport routes.
Short Lead Times For Custom Configurations
Despite being configured individually, the new roller conveyors are supplied with a stated delivery time of seven working days. Montech attributes this to a high level of component standardization combined with its modular system design, which allows custom layouts to be assembled without extended engineering or production lead times.
This approach is positioned as an advantage for manufacturers and logistics operators facing changing production requirements or tight project schedules, enabling faster implementation without extensive redesign or later modification.
Digital Configuration Planned For 2026
Montech also announced plans to introduce an online configurator for the RB4020 and RB5025 systems from mid-2026. The browser-based tool is expected to allow users to configure conveyor systems digitally and access associated technical data, including CAD models and pricing information. Until the configurator is launched, system planning and design will continue to be supported directly by Montech’s application specialists.
