Sormac, a Netherlands-based specialist in fresh produce processing machinery, will demonstrate its latest equipment for potato and vegetable processors at two major trade fairs this autumn: Pack Expo Las Vegas (29 September – 1 October 2025) and Fruit Attraction in Madrid (30 September – 2 October 2025).

At both exhibitions, the company will showcase the BSM Belt Slicer, a machine designed for high-quality potato and vegetable cutting. The slicer can deliver straight, crinkle, cross, julienne and grated cuts, operating at 1,500 RPM – at least twice the speed of comparable systems on the market. Its self-adjusting top belt maintains smooth performance, while its throughput of up to 34 cubic metres per hour provides processors with a compact but high-capacity solution for rising demand in fresh-cut products such as wedges and fries.

Sormac will also present the FS-3600 MultiSystem, a versatile slice and wedge cutter with capacity for up to 4,000 pieces per hour. The machine uses an advanced Smart HMI (Human-Machine Interface) to assist operators in real time, track daily production and provide data for workflow optimisation. Processors can program recipes that specify cutting style, tray filling volumes and belt types, enabling fast changeovers and accurate portioning of potato wedges and other fresh-cut products.

Alongside these demonstrations, Sormac will exhibit three additional machines at Pack Expo, including the UP-4000 Knife Peeler, the MC-44/Vario Basket Centrifuge and the MP-400 Melon Peeler.

The company will be located at booth N-7060 at Pack Expo Las Vegas and at booth P10-C21 at Fruit Attraction, where it will exhibit in partnership with Manter Packaging Ibérica.
