Frito-Lay Teams Up with Nintendo Switch for Limited Edition Variety Packs
Frito-Lay has entered a partnership with Nintendo to add characters from its Nintendo Switch games to some of the in-store packaging of Frito-Lay Variety packs. Customers will be able to find these limited-edition snack boxes starting March 25 and all the way through May 19, APNews reports.
The spring promotion will see three iconic characters from the Mario game series including Mario himself, Luigi and Yoshi adorn the packaging of Frito-Lay Variety packs.
“The partnership with Frito-Lay Variety Packs is another way for us to expand the Nintendo brand and bring it directly to families. Mario and Frito-Lay Variety Packs are a great fit, as both are loved by people of ages,” said Doug Browser, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Nintendo of America.
Customers who purchase the packs will also have the chance to enter to win a Nintendo Switch system and three Nintendo Switch games selected by Frito-Lay. These prizes are given away every hour during the promotion period.
Frito-Lay Variety limited edition packs will include a selection of snacks including Lays, Sun Chips, Fritos, Doritos and Cheetos in different flavors and combinations.
