KFC Introduces New Smash’d Potato Bowls

KFC is launching the new Smash’d Potato Bowls, which are generously sized dishes that cost USD3.49. A revolutionary take on the beloved Famous Bowl, this dish puts potatoes front and center and will be available at KFC locations across the country starting on Monday, January 29.
There’s nothing better than mashed potatoes with a combination of three cheeses, bacon crumbles, warm cheese sauce, and crispy Secret Recipe Fries on top, the company’s representatives mentioned.
“Now you can smash your hunger with our new Smash’d Potato Bowls, which take comfort to an 11 with a unique twist on all your favorite KFC flavors smashed together. If you like our Famous Bowls, you’re going to love this new bowl. At just USD3.49, it’s a comforting meal deal. Are you ready to smash it?” Nick Chavez, chief marketing officer, of KFC U.S., mentioned.
Smash’d Potato Bowls make their way onto KFC restaurants throughout the country following a successful 2023 test run in Pittsburgh. In 2006, KFC added its well-known Famous Bowls to its menu, and in 2019, it debuted Mac & Cheese Bowls.
Additionally, KFC is offering the Taste of KFC meal, which combines all of your favorites into one. This combo, which goes on sale at KFC locations across the U.S. on Monday, January 29th, costs USD20 and includes six pieces of KFC’s Original Recipe chicken on the bone, four different sides (fresh coleslaw, corn, mashed potatoes, and gravy, rich and creamy cheddar mac & cheese, and four biscuits).
Customers of KFC can order in advance and avoid the queue by using the KFC app or Quick Pick-Up feature on KFC.com to pick up their food from a special Quick Pick-Up shelf. KFC account members may also take advantage of ongoing promotions on the app.
Customers are invited to sample the new cheese, bacon-y, potato-y bowl in KFC’s innovative advertisement for the new menu item, “Lookin’ to Smash.”
