Lamb Weston Launches ‘Brewer’s Wedges’

Lamb Weston recently introduced their latest foodservice offering – the new Brewer’s Wedges: a combination of golden-yellow potato wedges with an ultra-crispy hop finish. With the Brewer’s Wedges from Lamb Weston, foodservice outlets are able to stand out thanks to their super crispy hops shell, and the golden yellow, extra fluffy potato texture.
The potato newcomers get their natural look from the irregular wedges cut in three sizes. As a result, they look like the chef has cut them by hand and retain their natural potato flavor – exactly what consumers want nowadays, according to the company. The peculiarity of the golden yellow delicacies is the light hops note, which adds a slightly bitter note, harmonizing well with other flavors in the menu, without overpowering them.
“We […] are now seeing a ‘glimmer of hope’ at the end of the Corona tunnel. Many establishments have used the time to optimize their concepts, revise recipes and try out new ideas for out-of-home business. We support them at all times,” says Christian Schramm, country manager D-A-CH & North Eastern Europe. “Our new Brewer’s Wedges have therefore also been successfully tested for take-away menus and delivery service offers. Thanks to their gluten-free hops casing, they are ideally suited for this because they keep their temperature for an extra long time so that the guest can enjoy their wedges hot and crispy.”
