With 2022 Edition, Interpom is ‘Back on Track for Good’

Interpom, the leading trade fair for the entire potato chain, will be held this year on November 27, 28, and 29 in Kortrijk Xpo (Belgium).
The 20th edition was exceptionally held last year after being postponed, but with the upcoming edition, we are now ‘back on track for good’. This means that Interpom will continue to be a biennial event held in even years in the future. This year’s edition will have the theme “Towards a Healthy Growth.”
Interpom Almost Fully Booked (90% Sold Already)
Interpom is Europe’s most tailored indoor trade show, bringing together the entire potato value chain, from cultivation to processing and marketing. Interpom is the only place where professionals from the entire supply chain can find an unrivaled, comprehensive, and targeted range of products, machines, services, and digital technologies.
Growers, contractors, processors, packers, buyers, and traders of fresh and processed potatoes from all over Europe attend Interpom regularly, and the trade fair is also attracting visitors from other continents. Over 270 exhibitors from 15 countries have already confirmed their participation. This means that just three months before the official opening, the fair is already 90% sold out.
‘Towards a Healthy Growth’
At the end of November, Interpom will once more be the ultimate trade platform for any professional interested in the latest market developments, price trends, and innovations. The theme chosen by the organizers of the event, namely “Towards a healthy growth”, is intended to emphasize the responsibility incumbent on every link in the chain to work together towards sustainable, responsible, and consequently healthy growth.
“Healthy growth” is all about cultivation methods, land use, and growing in a socially responsible way, but also about sustainable transport and processing, autonomous energy use, and sustainable water management. Combine all this with the super healthy character of the potato as a food bomb and you get the whole picture!
Innovation Tour
Innovation is key to achieving healthy, sustainable growth and being able to tackle the current challenges, such as climate change, water scarcity, fertilizer shortages, labor shortage, and rising costs of raw materials and energy. With the help of an independent group of experts, Interpom has selected several must-see innovations developed by exhibitors that not only provide added value for users but also benefit the entire potato chain. These innovations will be announced in November and will be highlighted at the fair via a special route called the Interpom Tour, as well as via all available digital channels.
Seminars: From Drought Issues to Disease Control and Price Inflation
The seminars taking place at the trade fair will focus on knowledge sharing. The wide-ranging program will address both hot topics and innovative projects. The program was compiled by Belgapom and will highlight themes such as manure management, water use, drought issues, inflation and rising prices of raw materials, agroecology, potato disease management, and the latest developments in automation and precision agriculture.
