Urschel displays new Sprint 2™ Dicer at Scanpack

Taking place in Sweden during October 20-23, Scanpack 2015 will feature a total of 530 exhibitors, covering almost 19,000 square meters, 1,000 square meters more than at the previous edition.
Almost half the exhibitors will arrive from outside Sweden, with companies coming from 30 foreign countries to showcase their products at Scanpack in Gothenburg. In addition, a number of international speakers from the UN-backed “Save Food” initiative will participate in a dedicated section at the event.
One of the exhibitors at this year’s Scpanpack is Urschel Nordic who will present the latest developments in food cutting machinery, including two new machines, the Sprint 2™ Dicer and the DiversaCut 2110A® Dicer. Other machines featured include the TranSlicer 2510 Cutter and the Comitrol® Model 1700.
The Sprint 2 builds on the technology of the DiversaCut Sprint® Dicer combined with the footprint and discharge height of the longstanding Models G-A, GK-A, and H-A. This new dicer features a three horsepower stainless steel motor with optional VFD (variable frequency drive) and accepts products up to 165 mm in any dimension. Using the existing footprint of these industry-proven dicers, allows processors to easily replace machinery with the latest technology.
The largest machine in the DiversaCut line, the DiversaCut 2110A Dicer produces dices, strips, slices, granulations, and shreds of fruits, vegetables, meats, and baked goods. With a maximum infeed of 10″ (254 mm) in any dimension, the machine offers cost-savings by eliminating the need to pre-cut product. This new dicer promotes more precise cut tolerances with slice adjustment and lockdown features. The machine also features fine-tuning through adjustable collars on both cutting spindles for ultimate precision.
