Patatas Hijolusa SA Acquired Natuber

Patatas Hijolusa SA, which operates a plant in León, acquired Natuber, an Alava-based company that turns potatoes into fresh-cut products.
With this acquisition, the Castilian and Leonese firm expands to other autonomous communities in the process of expansion, after closing in 2022 with a turnover of more than EUR90m, according to El Espanol. The corporation is committed to keeping Natuber’s 49 positions, which will be added to the 250 now employed at the León factory.
Hijolusa, which grows, prepares, and sells fresh potatoes, strengthens its position in the HoReCa channel.
Alberto Fernández de Retana and Carlos Angulo will continue to be in charge of the operation of Natuber, which produces 10,000 tons of finished goods. With a business that projects a 20% increase in profits for 2023, after joining Hijolusa, it expects a 30% increase in sales this year.
