Opening of Registrations for the Europatat Congress 2023

The Europatat Congress 2023, which will be held in Gdansk, Poland, from June 5 to June 7, has opened registration, according to the Polish Potato Federation and the European Potato Trade Association Europatat.
The organization says that this year’s conference will examine how current geopolitics will affect global agri-food commerce under the theme “The Shifting Geopolitical Environment and the Future for Potato Trade.” During this annual conference of the European potato community, the impact of the Green Deal aims at the trade of potatoes both within and outside of Europe, as well as the most recent developments in the Polish potato sector, are also on the agenda.
“Currently, we are the second largest producer of potatoes in the European Union and the potato industry has a significant share in Polish food production, which annual turnover reaches several billion zlotys”, Tomasz Bieńkowski, the President of the Polish Potato Federation said.
The five Commissions of Europatat will meet on Monday, June 5, to discuss the organization’s activities (Consumption potatoes, Seed potatoes, Sustainability, Technical and Regulatory issues, and RUCIP). The Europatat General Assembly will happen early on Tuesday, June 6. Later on the same day, the Congress’ public session will evaluate the situation in the potato industry and go over the top concerns and difficulties that the industry in Europe and beyond is facing.
The Europatat Congress also features several social events where participating businesses and organizations can introduce themselves to Europatat’s network of business decision-makers and industry experts.
