Fruit Logistica Continues to be the ‘Beating Heart’ of the Fruit and Vegetable Industry

The Fruit Logistica 2024 exposition, which was held from February 7–9, saw an increase in attendees, exhibitors, and display space. Additionally, the trade show was more global than before.
Fruit Logistica continues to be the beating heart of the fruit and vegetable industry, drawing in over 66,000 visitors in addition to over 24,000 exhibitors and 450 media representatives. 2,770 exhibitors showcased their latest inventions.
Four out of every five trade attendees at Fruit Logistica this year were from outside the country, solidifying the event’s reputation as a worldwide hub for the sector. Fruit Logistica was the most international event yet, with attendees from 145 countries and exhibitors from 94 countries.
Top decision-makers in the trade attend the aforementioned event, which is attended by participants from the whole global value chain. This year’s trade show attendees included almost 70% of decision-makers. The international fruit and vegetable business continues to face several problems, including cost pressure and climate change, so the chance to connect with old friends and prospective new partners comes at a critical moment.
“So many of the visitors and exhibitors we spoke to said it was a great feeling to be back at Fruit Logistica and catch up with so many people from all over the world in one place. For us, that’s a pleasing result and makes us even more determined to build on that success. Especially in challenging times like these, face-to-face meetings at Fruit Logistica are more important than ever. With this in mind, it is certainly good news that we will not be increasing stand rental prices in the coming year,” event director, Kai Mangelberger, mentioned.
About one in two exhibitors have already closed business transactions at the event, according to the early results of a study conducted among trade visitors and exhibitors. Furthermore, 90% of respondents believe that follow-up business will be “satisfactory” to “very good.”
As a result, exhibitors were given a good overall evaluation; over 90% of respondents said they would suggest Fruit Logistica to others in their network, and the same percentage said they wanted to participate in Fruit Logistica 2025.
Among trade visitors, business activity was high too. Over 80% were able to secure new business leads, while about one in three were already able to conclude business during the show.
All in all, the view among trade visitors was very positive. Around 95% of the respondents said their overall impression was good and would recommend the event to colleagues or business partners. More than 9 out of 10 would travel to Berlin again for Fruit Logistica 2025.
Fruit Logistica 2024 made a good impression with its broad range of products and services, which was rated positively by over 90% of trade visitors.
