Heat and Control Highlights Sustainable Innovations at FoodTech Forum 2025

Heat and Control has concluded its flagship FoodTech Forum 2025, a three-week event at the company’s Lelystad facility in the Netherlands, showcasing cutting-edge solutions in sustainable food processing.
The forum attracted customers, strategic partners, and industry experts from across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and beyond, providing a platform to explore key challenges facing the sector. Live equipment demonstrations, technical presentations, and tailored showcases were organised around critical themes such as decarbonisation, water conservation, and energy efficiency.
“Customers are facing real pressure to manage costs, stay competitive, and meet evolving sustainability targets,” said Bobby Kane, General Manager for Western Europe, UK and Middle East at Heat and Control. “Each session was designed to help our customers find practical solutions to meet sustainability targets while optimising their daily operations. We showcased our latest innovations in decarbonisation, water conservation, and energy-saving technologies designed to support processors now and into the future.”
The event also underlined the company’s focus on partnership-driven solutions for food processors. “At FoodTech Forum, we aimed to provide more than just an equipment showcase — we created a platform for real dialogue around building a more sustainable food system,” Kane added.
Interactive demonstrations focused on specific applications in snacks, potato chips, French fries, and prepared foods, enabling participants to gain hands-on insights into Heat and Control’s technologies. Highlights included the FastBack® Symphony On-Machine Seasoning System, Spray Dynamics Symphony In-Kitchen Seasoning System, Cascade Water Recirculation System, FastBack® product handling systems, CEIA metal detection, and Ishida packaging solutions.
Jurrien Overheul, General Manager for North and Eastern Europe, said the forum was a timely opportunity to reconnect with regional customers and understand local market needs. “It was a chance to meet face-to-face, see the technology up close, and talk through the specific challenges they’re facing,” he said. “The feedback we’ve received confirms events like this are essential in driving collaboration, understanding local priorities, and building future-ready solutions together.”
The company noted that the collaborative environment encouraged thoughtful discussions and allowed attendees to engage directly with Heat and Control’s global teams, including engineering, sales, and service specialists.
