New Chick-fil-A Menu Includes First Sauce-Flavored Waffle Chips

Chick-fil-A will introduce several new menu items nationwide on August 18, including a twist on its signature chicken sandwich, the return of a seasonal beverage lineup, and a new range of branded potato chips.
Following a successful test in Raleigh, North Carolina, last spring, the Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwich will be rolled out across all U.S. locations. The sandwich features a toasted pretzel bun, lettuce, sliced tomato, cheddar cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, and a side of Creamy Dijon Mustard Sauce. Guests can choose between an original, spicy, or grilled chicken filet.
The brand is also bringing back its Cherry Berry beverage lineup for a second year, this time adding Cherry Berry & Sprite, its first-ever seasonal soda. The drinks combine natural cherry, blueberry, and cranberry flavors with various bases, including lemonade, frosted lemonade, and the Sweetened Iced Tea and Lemonade blend known as Sunjoy.
“Allison Duncan, Chick-fil-A’s director of menu and packaging, said: ‘We are always looking for ways to surprise our guests with new and unique menu offerings, and this year’s fall lineup presents even more opportunities for guests to customize and make them their own. Our guests’ demand for bold, fun beverages is only growing and Cherry Berry’s return, now with a bubbly twist, brings something fresh and unexpected to our lineup. The Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwich offers the perfect complement: it’s savory with layers of flavor that feel indulgent, yet distinctly Chick-fil-A.’”
For the potato sector, the most notable addition is the launch of two new waffle-style potato chip varieties, designed to resemble the chain’s signature Waffle Fries. The Original Flavor Waffle Potato Chips, sprinkled with sea salt, and Chick-fil-A Sauce Flavored Waffle Potato Chips, inspired by the brand’s smoky and tangy signature sauce, will be available as a permanent side item, grab-and-go snack, or catering option.
Later this fall, the chips will also be sold in 7-ounce retail bags in select outlets across the Atlantic and Southeast regions. The introduction marks the first sauce-flavored waffle chips from the chain and includes a refreshed recipe for the original chips.
Chick-fil-A first launched Waffle Potato Chips in 2017 as a catering option, expanding them to restaurants in 2018. With this launch, it joins a select group of restaurant brands offering proprietary potato chips, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Panera, Hooters, and Jimmy John’s. The move taps into a growing snacking trend in the U.S., with 75% of consumers reporting daily snacking in 2024, according to Technomic’s 2025 Snacking Consumer Trend Report.
